The Lightning finish the fourth 10-game segment of the campaign on 47 points, one point off comfortable playoff pace, after securing just nine points this segment thanks mostly to their terrible California road trip. They had the chance to pull through tonight but looked subpar through most of the first 40 minutes of hockey. Puck management was poor and the end result was probably deserved.
