Tampa Bay snaps losing skid with strong performance.
CAR-2
TB-3
Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed two goals on 33 shots for the victory. Normally when you allow a soft goal like the backhander Vasiy allowed for the first Carolina tally it comes back to bite you, but he got away with it.

Brayden Point and Brandon Hagel were the game’s first and third stars.
The game was closer than it needed to be, but generally I thought the Lightning really controlled the large balance of this game against a quality opponent. It was only really close because of a soft goal and Carolina getting too many chances against the run of play off of defensive zone faceoff losses by the Lightning. The team’s puck management and play in all three zones was generally spot on for much of the sixty minutes and I think the hockey gods rewarded that with the correct result.
Conor Geekie had a helper and was +1 with 3 hits in 11:45.
Mitchell Chaffee was -1 with 2 hits and 1 (painful) blocked shot in 14:21.
Emil Lilleberg was -1 with 2 hits and 1 blocked shot in 16:11.
Gage Goncalves was -1 with 1 shot and 1 hit in 7:43.
