The Lightning actually outshot the Kings 34-21 in the game and controlled the vast majority of play, but they didn’t bear down on their chances and a couple of key mistakes ended up in the back of the net. Los Angeles is a very good team and this was a good measuring stick. I’m not altogether unpleased with how the team played, but they’re falling behind schedule in the standings right now.
