Brayden Point and Anthony Cirelli were the game’s first and second stars.

This was a critical two points to get as the Lightning keep alive a chance to finish this 10-game segment strong and stay on playoff pace. Despite the losing streak to start this segment, they now just need three of the next possible six to at least stay on minimum pace and five of six would actually clinch a successful 12 point segment.

Conor Geekie had a helper and was +1 with 1 shot and 3 hits in 13:12. He was also 67% on six draws, which to my recollection might be the first time he won the faceoff battle in a game where he took many draws.

Mitchell Chaffee was +1 with 3 shots in 12:44.

Emil Lilleberg was -1 with 1 blocked shot in 11:48.

Gage Goncalves had a shot in 12:58. It’s very interesting to me he got an extra game despite Point’s return. We’ll see if that foreshadows anything.
