The Crunch would’ve won the division with a single point at home against the non-playoff Comets, but instead slipped to third in the division in the final standings and a matchup against the Rochester Americans. Did they deliberately drop the division to avoid a matchup against the Belleville/Toronto play-in round? That’s the copium heavy interpretation of the game.
