Gabriel Fortier and Gage Goncalves were the game’s first and second stars.
Laval’s been a bit of a house of horrors for Syracuse in recent years and despite wildly outshooting Laval in the opening frame they found themselves down 2-1 after 40 minutes and I admit some doubt was creeping in. Great resiliency by the Crunch to retake the initiative in the game and eventually capture both road points.
They climb back to within three of Cleveland for the division lead with a game in hand on the Monsters.
