CLE- Fix-Wolansky, Del Bel Belluz
SYR- Chaffee, Carroll, Merela
Waltteri Merela, Declan Carlile, and Jack Thompson were the game’s three stars.
Merela is officially on a heater with four goals, five points, and a SO winner in his last three games. Thompson notched his 20th assist of his sophomore campaign, and as of this posting sits tied for 12th among AHL d-men in points. Honest opinion: if he were 2-3 inches taller he’d be considered a first round caliber prospect.
Second place Syracuse cuts Cleveland’s divisional lead to six points with the result.
