No problems assimilating a new system in Syracuse thus far. They pretty much crushed Cleveland tonight, scoring a couple of goals early and staying on their throat into Third Period garbage time. Can’t do much better than a 3-0 start to the campaign with a +8 goal differential. Not bad for an organization the northern hockey media says has no prospects.
Maxim Groshev with his first pro goal in North America in that garbage time with a nasty sharp angle snipe off the rush on the power play.
