Lucas Edmonds, Simon Ryfors, and Trevor Carrick were the game’s three stars.
The two Swedish youngsters are on a tear. Edmonds has 6-2-8 in his last six games. Ryfors has 3-4-7 in his last six and hit the 20 goal mark for the campaign with tonight’s marker.
Suffice it to say that Third Period was a sub-optimal way of closing out a game, but they got the job done in the end even with Darren Raddysh held out of the lineup for as yet not understood reasons. Syracuse keeps pace with Utica, who won tonight, and looks likely to gain two points on Rochester who are losing to Laval in the Third Period. If all holds, we’re looking at Syracuse and Utica tied for second in the division at 59 points with Rochester three points in arrears and holding a game in hand on the Crunch.
