You put that effort out against that opponent and you probably win eight or nine times out of ten. The Lightning ultimately outshot Ottawa 33-19 in the contest and had a similar advantage in the proportion of chances, but they couldn’t find that one more finish tonight. Unfortunately and ironically, with so few games left in the regular season this deals a pretty nasty blow to hopes of winning the Atlantic and possibly setting up a first round matchup with Ottawa.
