SYR- Edmonds
UTI- Foote, Clarke

Strong games by prospect Gage Goncalves (1-1-2) and Jack Finley (1-0-1) the latter of whom also dominated in a fight against Samuel Laberge sticking up for teammate Declan Carlile. And, as per usual since his demotion, Phil Myers was a man against boys nearly finding a winner on a two poster on a shorthanded chance in the Third Period. Unfortunately, fellow d-man Sean Day got nicked up with an upper body injury in the Third Period, and it remains to be seen if he’ll be fit for Syracuse’s critical slate of games in the coming week.

With today’s point, Syracuse claims sole possession of second in the division at 75 points with Rochester and Utica just back at 74 points and the Crunch holding a game in hand on Utica. Six games remain in the team’s regular season slate starting with a wildly important home and home versus Rochester on Wednesday and Friday. As I’ve said, these are all essentially early playoff games.
