Overtime
4:31 SYR Carlile (6), (Element, Myers)

Trevor Carrick and Declan Carlile were the game’s first and second stars.

Two points they absolutely had to have and the comeback was keyed by a goal from Felix Robert. That’s secondary scoring the team hasn’t been getting but they got it tonight in gut check time.

Utica lost earlier today to Laval and Rochester lost to Hershey, so everything that went wrong last night was erased with the work done tonight and the Crunch find themselves back in decent standings shape. They’re back to two points behind Utica for second in the division with two games in hand and four points up on fourth place Rochester. Top three seeds in the North Division get an opening round bye. Fourth and fifth place teams have to go through a best-of-three blender. The Crunch have a six point lead on sixth place Laval with two games in hand on the Rocket, for anyone wondering. 13 games remain in the regular season. They have a big set of four games in six days starting on Tuesday at Rochester that also includes a pair of games against Utica that’ll probably have significant bearing on their playoff seeding.
