9:38 SYR Dumont (17), (unassisted)
18:42 ROC Jobst (12), (Rousek, Biro)(PP)

Gabriel Dumont, Trevor Carrick, and Lagace were the game’s three stars.

I remain hugely impressed with the sophomore campaign of Simon Ryfors, which I mention in part because of the uncertainty around Steven Stamkos’ injury up top at this hour.

Syracuse opens up a five-point gap on fourth place Rochester with the Americans still holding a game in hand. That’s huge because the top three seeds in the division get a first-round bye and avoid the borderline insanity of a three-game opening playoff series.
