Coach Cooper feared the team wouldn’t have its legs on a back to back on the fourth game of a western swing. He wasn’t wrong given the egg the team laid in the First Period. However, the pride of the club really shined through in the Second Period as they clawed back to even in a chippy frame that featured some dust ups and a very suspendable slew foot by Evander Kane on Nikita Kucherov. Ultimately, the team succumbed to fatigue and a great individual play by McDavid, but even this loss had its positives.
