I thought Ottawa did a good job of parking the bus in this game. The Lightning had a ton of puck possession and zone time, but really struggled to get a ton of great chances despite carrying a lot of the play. The Lightning have learned not to get frustrated though and are comfortable winning low scoring games now, so it’s nothing they haven’t seen and can’t thrive against.

With the win and Sunrise losing 4-1 to the Kings, the Lightning overtook little brother downstate to tie Toronto for the division lead and now have the league’s best record by points percentage. Without Kucherov. Without Point. Without Cernak. Be afraid NHL. Be very afraid.

Boris Katchouk had 3 hits and 1 blocked shot in 6:41.

Taylor Raddysh had a helper, 2 shots, and 1 hit in 11:26.

Cal Foote had 4 shots and 1 blocked shot in 12:45.

Ross Colton had a helper and 1 blocked shot in 17:09.
