Game Night 10/21: Wolf Pack at Falcons

The Atlantic Division will be in trouble if the Falcons ever learn to protect a late lead. HFD-3 SPR-4 (Final OT) Jim Campbell, who scored the OT power play game winner, got the first star of the game. Jason Jaspers, who had 2G 1A, was the second star. Ryan Craig, who had 1G 1A, was the third star. Brian Eklund made 30 saves on 33 shots for the victory. Adam Henrich emerged from the doghouse for an assist tonight. Game Night 10/21: Chiefs at Inferno

JHN-2 COL-4 Three third period goals doomed the Chiefs in their first game of the season. Veteran netminder David Currie takes the loss for the Chiefs. Zbynek Hrdel started the game on the top line for Johnstown with Jay Rosehill playing on the second pairing and John Toffey seeing checking line duty. Belated Big Ups to Justin Keller

Apologies for this story being two days late with Chad out in California this week... Wednesday night, in a battle of two of the most potent offenses in the WHL, Kelowna defeated Moose Jaw on the strength of a 3G 1A effort in overtime 7-6. Keller, who scored the OT game winner, was the obvious choice for first star of the game. Moose Jaw's Blair Jones also had a goal in the contest.

Bartanus Finds the Twine in Attack Win

Marek Bartanus scored his first North American goal tonight to pace the Owen Sound Attack to a 3-2 win over the Barrie Colts. Bartanus scored the game's first goal and finished with a plus-one rating. He now has one goal and one assist on the year.
