Jean-Francois Soucy has been suspended for one game, which will be served Friday. The LW/C was given an instigator penalty in the final 5 minutes of Phoenix's last game, an automatic suspension by league rules. The exhiled former Springfield Falcon has 0 goals and 6 assists in 11 games this season with a -3 rating and a team leading 56 penalty minutes. Before the last of the Superleague scores for the day come in and we begin reporting on the Lightning's prospects in this new post-November trade period environment, I would just like to take a moment to recognize what Vasily Koshechkin did prior to this point. No single Lightning prospect will be more negatively effected by the massive salary dump that took place in Togliatti over the past two weeks. Koshechkin now faces the prospect of playing behind a glorified Upper League team. Whatever comes though the rest of the season, it should not diminish what Koshechkin was able to do in the last month. Prior to today's games, Koshechkin was 7-2-1 with a 0.82 GAA and a .960 save percentage. Both of the latter led the league. And, with 6 shutouts, Koshechkin was also tied with Travis Scott of Magnitogorsk for tops in that statistical category as well. 6 shutouts in 9 games, no matter what happens from here on out, will be a feat perhaps never to be duplicated by a Lightning prospect at the elite league level. So, Bolt Prospects takes a hat off to you Vasily.

Justin Keller scored his 14th goal of the year for the Kelowna Rockets Tuesday night, but it wasn't enough as Kelowna fell in overtime to rival Kootenay, 3-2. Keller was plus-one for the game. Also Tuesday night, Prince George dropped a 5-2 decision to Medicine Hat. Andy Rogers, who has missed 6 of the Cougar's last 8 games with an ankle injury, again did not see the ice. An injury has not been confirmed as of yet, as there is speculation he could be suspended for a checking-from-behind penalty and subsequent ejection from Prince George's last game.
