Falcons Lineup for Preseason Opener

The Springfield Falcons released their lineup for tonight’s preseason opener against the Hartford Wolfpack (New York Rangers). The 20 players suiting up for the Falcons include:

Three Reassigned to Falcons

The Springfield Falcons have announced that defensemen Andy Delmore and Matt Smaby, and winger Mitch Fritz were reassigned to the Falcons today by the Lightning. Both Delmore and Fritz would have had to clear waivers for this to happen, so it appears they both cleared. Still up in the air is the status of winger Norm Milley, who was not practicing with the Lightning today (per Erik Erlendsson of the Tribune), but was also not mentioned in the Falcons release. Edit: The Tampa Tribune is reporting Tampa now has 23 players in camp, so it appears Milley is staying around a little bit more. Delmore, the reigning AHL Defenseman of the Year, will immediately improve the backline of the Falcons.
