Game Night 3/11: Nailers at Chiefs
Submitted by pete on March 11, 2006 - 22:09Heck of a comeback just to get the point.
WHE-6
JHN-5 (OT)
Johnstown scored 4 unanswered goals including Justin Kelly's capping penalty shot goal with under a minute left just to get this game to overtime. Mike Betz, who I will refer to from here on out as "the sacrificial lamb" stopped just 26 of 33 shots faced.
Kelly paced the Chiefs with 2 goals, one of them shorthanded, while Dimitri Tarabrin had 1 goal and 1 assist. Adam Henrich had his 13th goal of the ECHL season in the third period comeback and John Toffey chipped in a second period assist.

Game Night 3/11: Lightning at Maple Leafs
Submitted by pete on March 11, 2006 - 21:48"And with the 14th pick in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft the Tampa Bay Lightning select..."
TB-1
TOR-5
Sean Burke actually played well the first two period before the flood gates opened. He allowed 5 goals on 30 shots in total. Honestly, I don't know what more there is to say right now. The cavalry isn't coming. The deadline's passed and Coleman, Boutin, O'Brien and Dicaire are probably too green to help shore up this club. What's worse than the defense and goaltending though is that the Lightning's forwards are showing themselves to again be incapable of scoring timely goals. Completely incapable. And if you're defense isn't going to be solid every night, you'd better get those timely goals.
70 points with 18 games left and a 4 point lead on 9th place. Is anybody going to step up?

Game Night 3/11: Bruins at Falcons
Submitted by pete on March 11, 2006 - 21:25I'll take a point against these guys as opposed to the 4-5 goal shellackings they've been handing Springfield all season.
PRO-3
SPR-2 (OT)
More on the flip. I don't want to steal too much page space from the rest of the night's stories.
