Trenton scored the tying goal to send the game to overtime with just 6 seconds left in regulation before winning in the shootout. Morgan Cey stopped 27 of 30 in his first game back from Springfield, but if there's one area of his game he's struggled at this season it has been in the shootouts. Adam Henrich stayed hot with an assist in the game.

Linkopings/Frolunda Game Three
Submitted by pete on March 29, 2006 - 16:38Fredrik Norrena stopped 25 of 26 shots faced today as Linkopings defeated Frolunda 2-1 to take a 2-1 lead in their semifinal series. Defenseman Andreas Holmqvist had the primary assist on Mikko Luoma's game winning, third period power play goal. Shane Willis also had an assist in the game.

Winer Goes Back To College
Submitted by pete on March 29, 2006 - 00:15With his spring break over, goaltender Gabe Winer has returned to UMASS to finish up his degree. That leaves the Chiefs with Morgan Cey, Mike Betz and Josh Disher under contract between the pipes.

CHL Playoffs Tonight: 3/28

Stanislav Lascek had 1 assist and was named 1st star of the game in Chicoutimi's 3-1 win over Baie-Comeau. The Sangueneens now hold a 3-0 series lead.
OHL
Kevin Beech had a 27 save shutout in a 2-1 Sudbury triumph over Kingston. Beech was named second star of the game for the Wolves. Radek Smolenak was -1 with 4 PIMs in the game. Sudbury leads the opening round series 2-1.
WHL
Justin Keller was scoreless and even as Kelowna fell to Kootenay 4-3. Kelowna now trails their opening round series 2-1.

More Moves in Springfield
Submitted by chad on March 28, 2006 - 17:32According to the Springfield Falcons, the team has sent goaltender Morgan Cey to their ECHL affiliate, the Johnstown Chiefs. The Falcons also announced they released defenseman Doug Andress from his Professional Tryout Agreement and he will also return to Johnstown, while Springfield has signed defenseman Jared Nightingale to an Amateur Tryout Agreement (ATO).
Cey was recalled from Johnstown on March 16 and played in two games for the Falcons posting a record of 1-0-0 with a 2.40 goals against average and .927 save percentage. Cey earned a shutout in his first AHL start on March 25 at Lowell making 37 saves earning the game’s first star. Cey has also played in 31 games for the Chiefs this season posting a record of 17-8-5 with a 2.74 goals against average and .922 save percentage. Cey currently leads all Johnstown goaltenders in games played and wins. Cey is in his first season of professional hockey after playing his collegiate hockey with Notre Dame from 2001-2005.
