CHL Game Night,10/27: Mihalik Big in Return
Submitted by pete on October 27, 2006 - 21:51Marek Bartanus was scoreless with 4 PIMs as Owen Sound defeated Erie 4-3.
Chris Lawrence had 2 assists and was +1 in Mississauga's 4-2 win over Brampton.
Vladimir Mihalik came back from a shoulder injury to lead Prince George to a 2-0 shutout of Saskatoon. Mihalik assisted on the Cougar's first goal, then notched his first goal of the year in the third period to earn First Star honors.
Dane Crowley remains out with an injury for Swift Current.

CAVEAT: I don't entirely trust the box score ECHL.com has up on this one. Call me skeptical, but Jonathan Boutin is listed as a skater.
Cey stopped just 25 of 32 shots faced in the loss. Rookie Radek Smolenak had two goals with veteran Randy Rowe chipping in the other Chiefs marker. PJ Atherton, John Adams, Doug Andress, Jean Desrochers, Gus Katsuras and [url=stanislav lascek]Stanislav Lascek[/url] had individual helpers.

Friday's Superleague Scores

Vasily Koshechkin's record moved to 6-3-4 on the year as Togliatti tied Dynamo 1-1. Albert Vishnyakov was scoreless in the match.
Ufa pummelled Tver 5-1. Denis Kazionov was scoreless in the match. The younger Kazionov has yet to register a point in 18 games this season.
Alexei Glukhov had an assist as Cherepovets beat Magnitogorsk 3-1.
Anton But scored his 4th goal of the season in SKA's 4-3 loss to Chelyabinsk.

CHL Game Night: 10/26
Submitted by pete on October 26, 2006 - 21:25Chris Lawrence had a second period power play goal, his seventh of the season, as Mississauga beat Barrie 4-1. Lawrence finished +1 for the game. The goal is Lawrence's first since returning from a head injury earlier this month.

NHL Game Night 10/26: Hurricanes at Lightning

Denis stopped 23 of 24 shots faced as the Lightning pasted the defending champs by the same score Carolina defeated the Lightning by two weeks ago. Revenge is sweet. Martin St. Louis had a second period natural hat trick to lead the way. Ruslan Fedotenko had a goal and an assist and Brad Richards, Filip Kuba and Paul Ranger each had a pair of assists. The other Lightning goal was scored by Vincent Lecavalier and individual helpers went to Cory Sarich and Dan Boyle.
