Submitted by Nigel on November 4, 2006 - 10:33Mike Lundin's second period PPG was proven the game winner as the undefeated #1 Maine Black Bears beat Merrimack 4-1. It was Lundin's second goal of the season, his previous was also on the PP. Maine is 7-0-0 for the season and 2-0-0 in the HEAST.
Sophomore defensemen, John Wessbecker was even with 2 shots in Massachusetts' 4-1 win over Providence. Wessbecker has played in 4 of the Minutemen's 5 games this season. He has no points, is -2 with 2 PIM.
Senior Dusty Collins was even in Northern Michigan's 5-1 loss to #4 Miami. The Wildcats fell to 4-4-1 overall and 1-2-0 in the CCHA. In 9 GP, Collins has 1 goal and 1 assist for 2 points, is -2 and 6 PIM.

Submitted by chad on October 28, 2006 - 07:32Dusty Collins had an assist in Northern Michigan's 2-0 win over Ohio State. He finished with 2 PIM and a +1 rating to go along with the assist. Northern Michigan is 5-2-1 for the season and moved to 2-0-0 in the conference.
John Wessbecker did not play in Massachusetts' 3-2 win over #8 New Hampshire on Thursday night.

For the year, the senior defenseman is 0-1-1 in 2 games played with a +3 rating and no penalty minutes. Maine is ranked No.7 in the latest USCHO poll.
Joe Pearce did not play in No.1 (USCHO) Boston College's 5-1 exhibition win over the U.S. Under-18 squad. BC is 1-0 on the year in non-exhibition play and Pearce did not see action in that game. However, the senior goaltender played the third period of a 5-3 exhibition win over St. Thomas (New Brunswick) on October 7. Pearce entered the game with BC leading 3-0. He stopped 6 of 9 shots and escaped with a 5-3 win. Vancouver first rounder Cory Schneider remains the No.1 in BC.
