Beech Named CHL Goaltender of the Week
Submitted by chad on December 20, 2006 - 12:27The Canadian Hockey League announced today that Kevin Beech of the Sudbury Wolves is the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week after posting a 3-0-0-0 record along with a 1.33 goals against average and .956 save percentage in three starts last week.
Beech started the week by allowing one goal on 30 shots in a 4-1 win over the Brampton Battalion on December 15. The next night, the 20-year-old London native allowed one goal on 28 shots in a 5-1 win over the Peterborough Petes and he finished the week with goals on 32 shots in a 4-2 win over the Mississauga IceDogs on December 17. He improved his season record to 15-12-1-2 with a 3.08 goals against average and .900 save percentage in 32 games.

Submitted by pete on December 17, 2006 - 18:45Kevin Beech stopped 30 of 32 shots faced today as Sudbury defeated Mississauga 4-2. Chris Lawrence had 1 assist and 2 penalty minutes in the game for the Ice Dogs.

CHL Game Night: 12/16
Submitted by pete on December 16, 2006 - 23:44Kevin Beech stopped 27 of 28 shots for the win in Sudbury's 5-1 victory over Peterborough. Beech is now 14-12-1-2 with a 3.12 GAA and has pulled his save percentage up to .899 for the season.
Marek Bartanus is still with Team Slovakia preparing for the WJCs as Windsor clipped Owen Sound 4-3 in overtime.
Dane Crowley was out of the lineup today for Swift Current as the Broncos fell to Saskatton 5-4 in a shootout.
Vladimir Mihalik is still with Team Slovakia preparing for the WJCs as Prince George trails Kamloops 3-1 in the second period.

Kevin Beech stopped 29 of 30 shots faced in Sudbury's 4-1 win over Brampton.
Marek Bartanus was a scratch in Owen Sound's 4-2 loss to Sarnia.
Dane Crowley had a power play assist and 4 penalty minutes as Swift Current lost to Saskatoon 3-2.
Vladimir Mihalik was a scratch as Prince George dropped to Kamloops 3-1.
Both Bartanus and Mihalik are preparing with Team Slovakia for the upcoming U20 World Junior Championships which are set to begin the day after Christmas in Sweden.

Kevin Beech allowed 4 goals on 37 shots for the loss as Sudbury fell 5-3 to Plymouth.
Chris Lawrence assisted on the game winning goal and was +1 with 2 penalty minutes as Mississauga knocked off London 5-4.
Dane Crowley was -1 with 4 penalty minutes in Swift Current's 5-2 loss to Moose Jaw.
Vladimir Mihalik was -1 in Prince George's 3-2 shootout win against Red Deer.
