Thursday's Superleague Scores

Until the Superleague's statistics website gets fixed, these unofficial results from Dynamo's website will have to do:

Anton But had 2 penalty minutes for St. Petersburg in their 4-3 win over Magnitogorsk.

Alexei Glukhov was scoreless in Cherepovets' 3-2 win over Novosibirsk.

Evgeny Artyukhin had 2 penalty minutes in Omsk's 4-3 overtime win against Tver.

Despite a goal and 2 penalty minutes from Albert Vishnyakov, Spartak fell to Dynamo 2-1 in a shootout.

Vasily Koshechkin got his first win of the season to even his record at 1-1-0 as Kazan handled Chekhov 3-1. Dimitri Kazionov was scoreless in the match for Ak Bars.

Superleague Season Underway

For anyone who is wondering, the Russian Superleague got underway yesterday with a full slate of games. Bolt Prospects will post game results when they become available on the league's official statistics site.

SKA defeated Chelyabinsk 3-2. No boxscore available. Anton But continues with St. Petersburg this season.

Cherepovets defeated Novokuznetsk 3-1. Alexei Glukhov had an assist on Severstal's first goal. Denis Kazionov was scoreless for Novokuznetsk.

Dynamo defeated Omsk 3-1. Evgeny Artyukhin had 4 PIMs for Omsk.

Tver defeated Spartak 6-3. Albert Vishnyakov was scoreless for Spartak.

Amur defeated Kazan 3-2. Dimitri Kazionov had 1 assist and 2 penalty minutes in the match for Ak Bars. Goaltender Vasily Koshechkin loses his first start for Kazan to begin the season 0-1-0. Former Lightning player Nikita Alexeev also had an assist for Kazan.

Russian Prospect Transfers

Contradicting reports from earlier this summer, Eurohockey.net is reporting Lightning prospect Denis Kazionov has transferred to Novokuznetsk of the Russian Superleague. Previous indications were the younger Kazionov might play for CSKA this year.

And in long overdue news, Eurohockey.net also reports that Lightning prospect Albert Vishnyakov transferred to Spartak in May from Dynamo.

Wednesday's Superleague Playoff Scores

#1 Kazan completed a three game sweep of #16 Novosibirsk today 5-3. Dimitri Kazionov once again did not suit up for Ak Bars.

#3 Ufa completed a three game sweep of #14 SKA defeating St. Petersburg 3-2 in a shootout. Anton But did not play in the match. He finishes the playoffs with 1 assist, 2 penalty minutes and a +1 rating in 2 games.

#4 Magnitogorsk finished off a three game sweep of #13 Tver today winning Game Three 3-2. Denis Kazionov finishes the playoffs scoreless with 2 penalty minutes in 3 games.

Vasily Koshechkin and #11 Togliatti's season ended today as they were swept by #6 CSKA losing Game Three 4-3 in overtime. Koshechkin finishes the playoffs with an 0-3 record and a 4.29 GAA.

#7 Yaroslavl completed a three game sweep of #10 Dynamo winning today 4-2. Albert Vishnyakov was scoreless in the match for Dynamo which was his only appearance in the playoffs. Evgeny Artyukhin did not suit up for the Lokomotive.

Alexei Glukhov was scoreless in #9 Cherepovets' 2-0 win over #8 Khimik to extend their opening round playoff series to Game Four.

After today's myriad of first round sweeps, Dimitri Kazionov, Evgeny Artyukhin and Alexei Glukhov are the only Lightning prospects remaining in action, although the elder Kazionov and Artyukhin have yet to play a game in the postseason.

Through three rounds of playoff games, the favored team is an amazing 46-2.

Sunday's Superleague Playoff Scores

On the opening day of the Superleague playoffs...

#1 seed Kazan defeated #16 seed Novokuznetsk 4-2. Dimitri Kazionov remains out of the lineup for Ak Bars.

In overtime, #3 Ufa defeated #14 SKA 2-1. Anton But had the only goal of the game for St. Petersburg.

#4 Magnitogorsk massacred upstart #13 Tver 7-1. Denis Kazionov had 2 penalty minutes in the match.

Vasily Koshechkin took the loss as #11 Togliatti fell to #6 CSKA 4-1.

Evgeny Artyukhin was out of the lineup in #7 Yaroslavl's 3-2 win over #10 Dynamo. Albert Vishnyakov did not suit up for Dynamo.

Alexei Glukhov and #9 Cherepovets were shutout by #8 Khimik 3-0.

All favored teams won today.
