Riku Helenius once again sat backup to Pontus Sjogren today in Sodertalje's 3-2 win over AIK. Former St. Cloud State forward Ryan Lasch and veteran Swedish forward Joakim Eriksson both scored third period goals from Sodertalje to pull out the win.

Denis Kazionov got thrown out of the game for spearing in 7:02 of ice time as Novokuznetsk fell to Yugra 4-2. Kazionov's penalty led to an Igor Skorokhodov power play goal that made the match 3-0 in the second period. Novokuznetsk got the game to 3-2 with a pair of power play goals of their own, but Skorokhodov scored a second goal with ten seconds left in regulation to seal Yugra's win. Skorokhodov currently leads Yugra in scoring after spending much of the past few seasons developing in Russia's lower leagues. He also leads the team in the number of "o's" in his name by two. Sorry Evgeny Khvostov, maybe next season.
