Mike Lundin was scoreless in #7 Maine's 5-2 loss to #13 Boston College. The Eagles were able to gain a little ground in the HEast standings as the two teams came into the two-game series tied for third. The win puts Boston College two points ahead of the Black Bears for third and two points behind Boston University for second. The teams play again tonight at Boston College.

Dusty Collins was scoreless and even in Northern Michigan's 4-1 loss to Ohio State. Collins' has now failed to register a point in 17 consecutive games. His last point came on an assist on Dec. 2, 2006 against Lake Superior. The Wildcats are off next weekend and will conclude the regular season at home against Miami Ohio on Feb. 23 and 24.
Mike Lundin picked up an assist on #9 Maine's only goal in the Black Bears 1-0 win over #14 Vermont. The helper was Lundin's 10 assist of the season and 16th point. The defenseman finished the weekend series sweep over the Catamounts with two goals and an assist. The sweep helped move the Black Bears over Vermont in the HEast standings and into a tie for third with Boston College, who plays Boston University on Monday in the Beanpot championship. Vermont's Art Femenella was scratched for the second straight game.

#9 Maine kept pace with the rest of the league beating the new #1 ranked New Hampshire 4-2. Mike Lundin was scoreless and even in the game. The Black Bears (17-7-2, 10-7-1) sit 6th in the HEast one point behind UMASS and three ahead of Northeastern. New Hampshire took over the top ranking in both polls from Minnesota who had held the top spot for most of the year. Minnesota was swept by North Dakota last weekend and fell to #3.

Mike Lundin and #7 Maine had a tough weekend, splitting the series with Northeastern. Maine dropped Friday's game 6-1 and needing overtime on Saturday to beat the Huskies 2-1. Lundin was scoreless for the series and finished a -4 with 2 PIM.
John Wessbecker and UMASS had a pretty good weekend, knocking off rival UMASS-Lowell on Friday 6-3. Wessbecker was a +2 with 2 PIM. On Saturday, the Minutemen drew a tie against another rival in #6 Boston University 3-3. Wessbecker was +1.
Northern Michigan and center Dusty Collins took a hard hit in the standings, being swept by Nebraska-Omaha. They fell Friday 6-3 and Saturday 6-1. Collins was scoreless and -2 in Friday's contest and Saturday compiled a total of 14 PIM, given a 10-minute misconduct toward the end of the game.
