Elitserien
Lulea 1 @ Sodertalje 3
Riku Helenius, Sodertalje, Win, 29/30, 1.00 GAA, .967 sv%
Season totals: 15 GP, 3-9-0, 0 SO, 2.88 GAA, .888 sv%

A very well rested Riku Helenius, who hasn't seen a start in about a month for Sodertalje, stopped 29 shots today in the club's 3-1 win over Lulea. Ex-Avs pick Linus Videll scored the game winning goal. Sodertalje maintained a 3 point lead over 11th place AIK in their quest to avoid the Kval till Elitserien and actually pulled into a tie with Frolunda and MODO at 60 points in the standings. As of today, MODO would have the tiebreak and finish in 8th place and get a playoff berth. Suddenly, though, Sodertalje not only has the chance to miss the promotion/relegation tournament, but they might actually see playoff hockey. Amazing. Wouldn't it be neat if Helenius helped lead them there?
