Michigan (17-2-0) was outshot 50-21, yes I said outshot, and came away with a win. Wolverines goalie Billy Sauer, a Colorado prospect, earned the shutout. Michigan faces Michigan Tech(7-8-2) in the final on Saturday night. The Huskies upset #5 Michigan State 4-1.

Michigan(14-2-0) handed first home loss of the season. Goes 0 for 8 on the powerplay.
#11 Massachuettes 0 @ Cornell 0 ot
D UMASS, John Wessbecker 0-0-0, Even, 1 SOG.
The ties keep piling up. UMASS(6-3-5) fires 45 shots in the scoreless non-conference match-up with the Big Red.

The Wolverines split the series, stay two points behind division leading Notre Dame in the CCHA.

Michigan avenges their only loss this season beating the Gophers 5-1 at home in the second game of the College Hockey Classic.
In the other game Michigan State tied Wisconsin 4-4.

UMASS moving up the rankings.

College Hockey Showcase
Submitted by Nigel on November 24, 2007 - 11:22The annual event that posts four programs from "Big 10" schools with Minnesota and Wisconsin of the WCHA and Michigan and Michigan State of the CCHA takes place this weekend for bragging rights.
Friday's Results:
#12 Wisconsin 2 @ #2 Michigan 3
Lightning prospect and Michigan freshman defensemen Kevin Quick was scratched for the game. The Wolverines have been using a rotating defensive lineup so Quick should be in today's game against Minnesota.
#13 Minnesota 3 @ #5 Michigan State 3 ot
No Lightning prospects in this game but always a good contest between two top programs.
Michigan (12-1-0) host Minnesota (7-5-1) today in Ann Arbor and try to avenge their only loss this season. The Gophers won the Icebreaker championship on October 13 with a 4-3 win over the Wolverines.
In the other matchup, Michigan State (8-3-1) hosts Wisconsin (5-6-0) in East Lansing, Mich. This is the first meeting between the two teams this season.

One night after tying at UMass, the Minutemen got the better of the Eagles on Chestnut Hill.
No.2 Michigan 6 @ Lake Superior 2
D Kevin Quick, Michigan: 0-0-0 +1, 0 PIM, 0 SOG
The No.2 Wolverines had a better day than their football counterparts, beating Lake Superior State 6-2. Michigan outscored the Lakers 11-3 in two games over the weekend. Quick finished with a plus-2 rating for the weekend, playing in back-to-back games.
