Alex Killorn was given a 5-minute major early in the first period for grabbing the facemask during a scrum after a hard hit on a teammate. The major resulted in an automatic 10-minute game misconduct. Cornell defensemen and Pittsburgh prospect Nick D'Agostino scored two powerplay goals in the game.

Peca extended his point streak to 11 games as Quinnipiac skated to a tie with Clarkson in a penalty filled game. The two teams combined for 20 total penalties. The Bobcats (7-3-2) take on St. Lawrence Saturday.

Mullin scored his second of the season as Miami knocked off No. 4 Michigan at home. After a rough start to the season the RedHawks (5-6-0) have now won three straight.

Western Michigan (5-0-3) remained unbeaten as Freshman defenseman Garrett Haar scored 28 seconds into overtime. Witkowski was given a 5-minute major for checking from behind midway through the third period. The major resulted in an automatic 10-minute game disqualification. The Broncos will have a tough test next weekend to remain undefeated going on the road for two games with No. 4 Michigan.

Mercyhurst Lakers 5 @ No. 19 Cornell Big Red 4

The Big Red opened their season with a tough loss to Mercyhurst at home. Freshman Nardo Nagtzaam had two goals and an assist for the Lakers including the game winner in the third.
