Moncton played their first game since October 29 thanks to a flu-cancelled game against Montreal and a long layoff. The Wildcats lost the shootout 2-1 after leading 1-0 at the completion of round 1.

Ashton extended his point streak to seven games with his 10th goal of the season as the Hurricanes beat first place Calgary 3-2. Lethbridge was 0-7 on the power play compared to Calgary’s 2-5. The Hurricanes, who won their third game in a row, climbed out of the cellar with the win and now stand at 8-11-2-0 on the year, 14 points behind Calgary in the Central Division.

Patrick Roy’s team broke out to 3-0 and 4-1 leads and never looked back.

Panik set up the game tying goal at 6:34 of the third period. He shot first in the shootout for Windsor, but lost control of the puck while making a move on Attack goalie Jordon Binnington (OHL rookie).

Oshawa Generals 4 @ Peterborough Petes 6

Season: 10 GP, 6-3-1-0, 3.19 GAA, .897 sv%, 1 SO

Zador started six straight (4-2, shutout), so Kevin Bailie got the start for the Generals. He stopped 22 of 27 shots. Oshawa outshot the Petes 41-28.

He would add a shorthanded assist two minutes later on what would eventually be the game winning goal for Moncton. Barberio’s seven shots led the Wildcats.
