OHL
Peterborough Petes 1 @ Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds 4

Make that six wins in a row to start the season for the (formerly last place) Soo. DeCoste served the second game of his two game suspension for abuse of an official.

Moncton Wildcats 3 @ St. John Sea Dogs 4 (SO)
D Mark Barberio, MCT: 0-1-1, -1, 2 PIM, 0 SOG
Season totals: 4 GP, 0-2-2, +1, 2 PIM
A bit of a slow start statistically for Barberio, who started and finished strong last year around a mid-season slump.
OHL
Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds 3 @ Ottawa 67’s 2
RW Kyle DeCoste, SSM: Did not play.
Season totals: 3 GP, 0-0-0, -2, 6 PIM
LW Matais Sointu, OTT: 1-0-1, E, 0 PIM
Season totals: 4 GP, 1-2-3, +3, 2 PIM
Sointu scored his first OHL goal late in the third, but it wasn’t enough to keep the red-hot and conference-leading Greyhounds from winning their fifth straight to start the season. Kyle DeCoste did not play for the Soo. It’s possible he was suspended for his match penalty in the previous game.
Sudbury Wolves 4 @ Oshawa Generals 3 (OTO
G Michael Zador, OSH: Did not play.
Season totals: 3 GP, 1-1-1, 5.50 GAA, .842 sv%, 0 SO

Cape Breton Screaming Eagles 4 @ Moncton Wildcats 5 (SO)
D Mark Barberio, MCT: 0-1-1, +1, 0 PIM, 7 SOG
Season totals: 2 GP, 0-1-1, +2, 2 PIM
Moncton moved to 2-0 with Barberio in the lineup – both shootout victories. They are 3-1 overall. Cape Breton’s Olivier Roy (Oilers) streak of 24 straight shootout saves was broken. He stopped 10 of 11 in this shootout (0/14 last year, 0/10 this year). Barberio did not participate in the shootout. His assist - his first point of the year - came on the power play in the first period. He had 45 points in 66 games last season.
