2008 first round defenseman Alex Pietrangelo scored the game winner in overtime for Niagara. Pietrangelo started the year with the St. Louis Blues, playing in eight games (0-1-1, Even rating) before being returned to juniors. He now has 11 points in five games for the Ice Dogs from the back line.

DeCoste hit the 10 point mark on the year with a second period primary assist on a goal by Canucks first rounder Cody Hodgson. It was Hodgson's 16th goal in 18 games since returning to juniors. DeCoste had 22 total points last season for the Battalion. Last year he didn't get his 10th point until December 16.
