DeCoste extended his point streak to five games. He’s registered a point in seven of his last nine games. Panik scored early in the third to pull the Bulls within one at 4-3, but they couldn’t complete the comeback.
Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors 5 @ Barrie Colts 4
LW/C Alex Hutchings, BAR: 0-1-1, E, 5 PIM (fighting vs. Blake Parlett)
Season Totals: 55 GP, 37-24-61, +36, 52 PIM
Unexpected stat of the night: This was Hutchings’ first assist since January 2nd and second since December 18. He had 34 assists last season. Hutchings is a frequent visitor to the scoresheet, so the low assist (lately) total is a bit of a surprise. This was a big road win for the Majors, who sit in second, (well) behind Barrie in the Eastern Conference. Those two are in a class by themselves in the conference.
