Fadden had two first period assists to help the ‘Canes jump out to a 3-0 lead, but they would never score again as the Tigers scored 4 unanswered goals. Traverse City Lightning and Medicine Hat captain Daine Todd was 1-2-3 and First Star for the Tigers.

CHL Game Night 10/7: Fadden Nets Winner for 'Canes

Mitch Fadden notched his fourth multi-point game of the year as Lethbridge dominated the Raiders in shots-on-goal, 28-9. Despite disparity in shots, it took Fadden’s power play goal at the 15:28 mark of the third period to break a 2-2 tie. The ‘Canes added an empty netter in the final minute to give the game its final score. Fadden is now tied for second in the league in goals (6) and third in points (11).

C/W Dana Tyrell, PG: 0-1-1, E, 0 PIM

The Hitmen are now 8-1-0-0 on the year after breaking open a close game in the second period and defeating the 1-6-0-0 Cougars in Prince George, 5-3.

G Torrie Jung, KEL: Loss, 20 saves on 23 shots

Helenius and Seattle got the better of Jung and Kelowna in the first of a home-and-home set between the Thunderbirds and Rockets. The teams play again tonight (Saturday) in Seattle. Helenius's 1.62 Goals Against Average is tops in the WHL among goalies playing more than one game. His .922 save percentage is top-5.
