With the Subway Super Series now over, look for Nikita Nesterov to possibly return to action for Chelyabinsk Jr. tomorrw against Mytischi Jr. CSKA Jr.'s next game is Tuesday against Khanty-Mansiysk Jr., and that game may be Nikita Kucherov's first back.

Sweden held off a fierce late game rally to best Scandinavian rival Finland 4-3 in their final match of the Karjala Cup. Ex-Lightning netminder Karri Ramo was chased at 13:36 of the second period, and took a no-decision in the match. Ex-Blues d-man Christian Backman had the eventual game winner on a shorthanded goal. For his part, Lightning prospect Johan Harju was scoreless in all 3 games of the tournament.

Elsewhere, Russia got a pair of third period goals to best Czech Republic 2-1. Russia wins the Karjala Cup with a 2-0-1 record in the tournament. Finland, Czech Republic, and Sweden, in that order, rounded out the table.

In the other match of the round, ex-Lightning d-man Janne Niskala had a helper to contribute to Finland's 4-0 shutout of Czech Republic.

Johan Harju was held scoreless in Sweden's 5-2 blowout loss to the Czech Republic. The Czechs were led by 2 goals by former NHLer Petr Nedved (yes, that Petr Nedved). Ex-Lightning prospect Marek Kvapil was scoreless in the match for the Czechs.

In the other match of the tournament, Russia bested ex-Lightning goaltender Karri Ramo and Finland 2-1 in the shootout on an Alex Radulov conversion. Finland also features ex-Lightning blueliner Janne Niskala. The Russians did not carry Vasily Koshechkin on their roster for the Karjala Cup.
