Bio
2010-2011:
Entered his 4th and final season in the Rapperswil system in his native Switzerland. Spent the bulk of the year dominating the U20 ranks, scoring 11 goals and 43 points in 28 games. Appeared for Switzerland at the U18 World Junior Championships, scoring 4 goals and 5 points in 6 games. Ranked the #65 European skater by NHL Central Scouting Service but went undrafted. Later selected in the 1st round, 28th overall by the Guelph Storm of the OHL in the 2011 CHL Import Draft.
2011-2012:
Moved to North America and scored 13 goals and 48 points in 43 games for Guelph despite being hampered by nagging injuries for most of the season. Had 2 goals and 4 points for Switzerland in the U20 World Junior Championships. Ranked the #41 North American skater by the NHL Central Scouting Service and was selected in the 3rd round, 71st overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Scouting Report
Good skater with great acceleration. Soft hands and a great puckhandler and playmaker. Competes hard at both ends of the rink and surprisingly willing to play the physical game, despite his slight frame.
Nagging injuries limited him to 45 games, and those injuries may be attributed to his lack of strength and size. Second year eligible so a little less time to develop than others in this class.

"Versatile and highly underrate forward is both Swiss and a second year draft eligible - so that's two strikes against him. Has been quietly excellent all season when in the line-up, but nagging injuries limited him to 45 games. Tall, lean frame to go along with a powerful stride and good acceleration. Gets up to full speed in two strides. Has really soft hands and quick stick with good puckhandling skills. Beats defenders 1-on-1 off the rush with slick moves. Terrifically creative playmaker is unselfish - makes linemates better. Sees the ice very well and threads touch passes through traffic. Has a wicked snap shot that he should use more often, but prefers to pass. Competes both hard and intelligently in the defensive end, breaking up plays and stealing passes often, then transition to the attack in a heartbeat. Aggressive physically, but needs to add some muscle to be more effective.
Projection: Versatile top 9 forward who chips in on offense.
Style compares to: Valtteri Filppula" (Red Line Report)
