Linkopings lost to Vastra Frolunda today 3-2 in overtime. Defenseman Andreas Holmqvist had a power play assist in the game. Goaltender Fredrik Norrena remains out of the lineup with a groin injury for the club.
The AHL All-Star Game is on tap for Wednesday, February 1st from Winnipeg, Manitoba. The AHL has put together a full TV schedule for the event. Nationwide, both the skills competition and game itself will be available live at 8pm on 1/31 and 2/1 respectively on NHL Center Ice. In the Tampa Bay area, the AHL skills competition will be available on tape delay on 2/2 at noon and the game will be shown on 2/5 at 3:30pm. The Springfield Falcons loan representative for the event is center Ryan Vesce.

Jonathan Boutin made 42 saves on 44 shots faced before falling in the shootout. Still, to come in from the ECHL and get 3 of 4 points in the weekend against the division leader is impressive, even if he couldn't make that one more save with a minute and a half left in the third to preserve the win. All you ask of your goaltenders is to give you a chance, and both Boutin and Coleman have done that for the Falcons this weekend.

Doug O'Brien played 13:16 in his NHL debut but was plagued with 3 giveaways. Ryan Craig was -1 in 13:14 with no shots on goal. Norm Milley was effective early playing 10:32 with 1 shot on goal.
