(WHL Release) The Greyhound WHL Player of the Week is forward Justin Keller of the Kelowna Rockets. Keller earned player of the week honors by recording seven goals and nine points in four games, including five power-play goals and a game-winning goal during the week of February 20th to February 26th. Keller also had a plus-minus rating of +4 and was named the game’s 1st Star in three of the four games while helping the Rockets to a perfect 4-0 record for the week. Keller is the first WHL player this season to capture the weekly award twice, winning the award in December.

On Tuesday, February 21st, Keller recorded two goals and added an assist in a 5-2 win against the visiting Spokane Chiefs. On Friday, February 24th, Keller scored two goals in a 5-3 win against the visiting Kootenay Ice.

QMJHL

Stanislav Lascek scored his 39th goal of the season, on the power play, as Chicoutimi defeated Cape Breton 2-1. He was named first star of the game.

Mark Tobin had a power play goal, his 25th goal of the season, and 3 assists as Rimouski got a rare win clubbing Rouyn-Noranda 7-2. Tobin was named the game's second star.

OHL

Kevin Beech stopped 28 of 31 shots faced as Sudbury defeated Windsor 4-3. Beech's record moves to 29-22-1-4 this season.

Marek Bartanus was again a scratch as Owen Sound fell to Guelph 5-1. Owen Sound managed just 18 shots on goal in the contest.

WHL

Justin Keller scored his 46th goal of the season and added a power play assist as Kelowna beat Seattle 4-2. Keller was named the game's number one star and has moved back into a tie with Troy Brower for the league lead in goals. He is also tied for 3rd in the league in scoring with Dustin Boyd.

Blair Jones was held scoreless as Calgary defeated Moose Jaw 2-1.

Johnstown gets another big win.

Morgan Cey stopped 24 of 27 shots faced to improve his record to 14-7-5 on the season. Johnstown outshot the defending ECHL champions 44-27 in the contest. Zbynek Hrdel had a goal and an assist for the Chiefs as did Joe Tallari.

I'm extremely happy for Fredrik Modin. He's been one of the classiest players in the Lightning's history since joining the team 6-7 years ago. Now he's won a Stanley Cup and an Olympic gold medal in the span of about a year and a half. I can think of few players who deserve it more.
