Despite trailing by two at the second intermission, Syracuse Crunch head coach Rob Zettler's message was to stay the course.
The Crunch outshot the Wolf Pack 25-2 in the third period, scored a pair of power play goals, and capped the comeback with 4:05 remaining, as Syracuse topped Hartford, 3-2, for its fifth straight win at the Onondaga County War Memorial Wednesday.
"I actually thought we were playing the right way throughout the game," Zettler said. "We got a couple goals scored against us — I'd have to look again — but I thought all those penalties in the third were legit penalties. We earned the breaks, we earned the calls. Overall, we were creating a lot of offensive zone time and wore them down a little bit."
