TheAHL.com is reporting the Lightning have returned goaltender Marc Denis to Norfolk of the AHL. To make room, goaltender Ryan Munce has been sent back to Mississippi of the ECHL.

Bracken Kearns, Jamie Bates, and Brandon Segal were named the game's three stars. Bates, 23, was signed to an ATO contract today out of Quinnipiac University. Bates scored 123 points in his 4 year career at Quinnipiac, including 34 points in 34 games this season.

Can we get the rest of the organization's forwards on what Radek Smolenak and Michel Ouellet have been eating the last month or so? Mercy.

Dana Tyrell has 3 assists now in his 5 ATO games with the Admirals. Not bad for a 19 year old.

Chris Lawrence's goal was his first since November 30, 2007. The linebackeresque forward now has 1 goal and 6 points in his last 8 games. Lawrence missed a month and a half in January and February with a shoulder injury.

Tonight's win was Norfolk's 26th of the season, two shy of Springfield's total from last season. The win gave the team their 58th and 59th points of the season, which ties the Falcons' point total from last season.

With Jonathan Boutin on emergency recall to Tampa and Marc Denis on re-entry waivers following the knee injury to Mike Smith, Our Sports Central is reporting that Admirals General Manager Claude Loiselle has announced that goaltender Ryan Munce has been reassigned to the Admirals from the ECHL's Mississippi Sea Wolves.

ECHL Update for the Mississippi Sea Wolves from 2/28 through 3/8:

• Wolves go 2-2, with two wins at home against Charlotte and 2 losses on the road in Florida.
• Munce gets a shutout, 1st Star and 2nd Star honors, and gets pulled in his 4th consecutive start.
• Stan Lascek goes nuts in back-to-back games against Charlotte: 1st night gets instigator, fightning, and game misconduct; 2nd night lights the lamp twice and adds an assist.
• Zbynek Hrdel buries a goal in first game back in Mississippi after being reassigned from Norfolk.

After a blazing start to the new year in January, the month of February has been disastrous for Ryan Munce and the Mississippi Sea Wolves. Highlights include:

• Wolves go 1-5 on a six game road trip; Munce goes 1-4 and is pulled twice.
• Wolves are currently 1-4 on a seven game home stand; Munce is 1-3 and has been pulled twice
• Marek Kvapil (3-7-10 in 10gp) and Zbynek Hrdel (1-0-1 in 2gp) recalled to Norfolk during the current home stand
• Mike Egener returned to the lineup and scored a goal and a fighting major
