Jaroslav Janus  allowed 2 goals on 17 shots for the victory, snapping a personal 2 game losing streak in which he had allowed 10 goals. His save percentage is still a troubling .890, but tonight's win at least saved him the indignity of falling to a .500 record.

Trevor Smith  and Cory Conacher  were the game's first and second stars. Smith (pictured) leaps into a tie with TJ Hensick of Peoria for 3rd in the league at 31 points, with Hensick still in action in his game tonight. Conacher is 2 points back in 5th and leading all AHL rookies.
Norfolk outshot Binghamton a stunning 42-17 to complete the weekend sweep of the Senators. With Hershey falling to the Penguins tonight, it's now a two-way tie between Norfolk and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton for first place in the East Division at 33 points. Norfolk will try to put some more distance between themselves and Hershey tomorrow at Giant Center in Hershey.
The AHL East Division and West Division are the only 2 in the league with 3 teams above a .600 points percentage so far this year.
