The Tampa Bay Lightning assigned center Marc-Antoine Pouliot  to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League today, Vice President and General Manager Steve Yzerman announced.
Pouliot, a native of Quebec City, Quebec, has played in two preseason games with the Lightning this season, recording three shots on goal and seven penalty minutes. He was signed by Tampa Bay as a free agent on July 23, 2010.
Pouliot, 25, is a 6-foot-1, 195-pound center from Quebec City, Quebec. He appeared in 35 games last season with the Edmonton Oilers, scoring seven goals and 14 points. Pouliot also skated in four games with Edmontonâ€™s American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Falcons, scoring one goal and six points. A veteran of five professional seasons, Pouliot has appeared in 176 career NHL games â€“ all with the Oilers â€“ scoring 21 goals and 53 points.
Pouliot was drafted by the Oilers in the first round (22nd overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
