The Force improved to 6-0 in the playoffs with their second straight series sweep, this time over West No.1 seed Lincoln. Fargo advances to the Clark Cup Finals, where they will await the winner of Green Bay and Indiana, who are currently tied 1-1 in their best of five series.

Mark Guggenberger (undrafted) stopped 25 shots for the shutout and Kelowna got a first period goal from Ryley Grantham (Flames) to win Game 5 1-0 and take a 3-2 series advantage. Kelowna was outshot by James Wright and the Giants, 25-23. Wright was involved in one of two first period fights between the teams, taking on Cody Almond (Wild). The Rockets can advance to the WHL Finals with a win at home in Game 6 on Monday.
