The Admirals were in a very tough spot with Vladimir Mihalik [10] and Matt Smaby [11] up in Tampa and Andy Rogers [12] still hurt. Outside of Mike Lundin [13] they had rookie Darryl Boyle, rookie Scott Jackson [14], virtual rookie Kevin Quick [15], and two converted ex-defensemen in Brent Henley and Jay Rosehill [16]. Between that and some flukey goals by the Sharks and the Admirals were in a really tough position.
Why not Ty Wishart [17], you ask? Erik Erlendsson reports [18] with Lukas Krajicek [19] and Paul Ranger [20] still hurt and Jamie Heward [21] having had his clock cleaned in Washington, Wishart will make his NHL debut Saturday night against Carolina. Andrej Meszaros [22] may have to play 30-35 minutes tomorrow night.
1/3 Update: Wishart has been recalled by Tampa Bay.
