This was Tokarski’s second straight shutout and first star performance. This game was also the first match-up between the Americans and Chiefs since their epic seven-game conference final last year when Tokarski and Chet Pickard battled each other in five overtime games. Pickard, who was chosen in the first round in June by Nashville, stopped 15 of 18 shots Saturday. Traverse City Lightning member Kruise Reddick was -2 for Tri-City. Spokane received good news on Sunday when super-prospect Drayson Bowman was returned from Carolina.
