Wednesday night, in a battle of two of the most potent offenses in the WHL, Kelowna defeated Moose Jaw on the strength of a 3G 1A effort in overtime 7-6. Keller, who scored the OT game winner, was the obvious choice for first star of the game. Moose Jaw's Blair Jones [3] also had a goal in the contest.
Justin Keller [4] is currently second in the WHL in scoring 1 point behind Eric Hunter of Prince George with 18 points in 13 games. Blair Jones is tied for 9th in the league just 4 points off the top scorer's pace with 15 points in 10 games.
Kelowna currently boasts the best record in the WHL Western Conference 4 points ahead of Andy Rogers [5] and second place Prince George. Moose Jaw sits at 2nd in the Eastern Conference 2 points behind the Calgary Hitmen.
