Kind of a heartbreaker. They probably deserved a point out of this one.
Jonathan Boutin stopped 27 of 30 shots faced but took the loss allowing a bad short side goal in the third that was the decider.

Norfolk outshot Philly, unofficially, 33-30.
Norfolk ends the weekend 1-2-0. While that's disappointing, the work ethic was there for all three games this weekend and they were very competitive for most of the two games against division leading Philly.
Norfolk's power play and penalty kill continue to be a sore spot partially due to the fact there are some personnel on those units (like Taylor, for instance) who are playing those roles for the first time. Those units should improve over time.
The other good news is that there are rumors Karri Ramo could return as early as next weekend. Also, there might be a conditioning stint in the cards for Ryan Craig next weekend and Dan Boyle's potential return means there might be another defenseman (whether its Smaby or Janik) headed to Norfolk in the near future. That's three key pieces that might be back in Admirals uniforms next week.
