After spending last season with Regina of the WHL, defenseman Jan Zapletal [3] has returned to the Czech Republic to play for HC Vsetin of the Extraliga. The 2004 6th round pick had 3 goals and 5 points in 55 games last season for the Pats. He has yet to dress for any of Vsetin's games thus far.
Also, goaltender Vasily Koshechkin [4] has reassumed backup duties for Lada Togliatti of the Russian Superleague. An 8th round pick in 2002, Koshechkin played two shutout periods of relief for Togliatti in a 3-1 loss to Yaroslavl on September 17th.
