In the opening game of the 2005 Traverse City Prospects Tournament, the Tampa Bay Lightning prospects beat their Atlanta counterparts 5-3. The Lightning were paced by Kelowna Rockets winger Justin Keller , who scored two goals  and newly signed Notre Dame Fighting Irish goaltender Morgan Cey, who stopped 28 shots. The Lightning also got goals from recently signed Marek Kvapil , Traverse City veteran Adam Henrich , and Moose Jaw center Blair Jones . Both Kvapil and Jones, taken in the 2005 draft, scored shorthanded. Assists were earned by Zbynek Hrdel , Brandon Elliott , Jay Rosehill , and 2004 first rounder Andy Rogers .
