There are some prospects in this organization who wish they could put up the numbers in a year that this prospect did in a month...
RW/C Chris Lawrence , Mississauga (OHL)
When you average more than a point a game over the span of 31 days, you're having a good month. When you average more than a goal a game, you're having a great month. January was a banner month for Chris Lawrence who has overcome time missed due to an early season head injury and now finds himself tied for 19th in the OHL in scoring and tied for 4th in the league in goals. In 11 January games, Lawrence scored 14 goals and 21 points helping to soar to 14 games above .500 and tie with Belleville at 62 points for the second best mark in the OHL's Eastern Conference. In 6 of those 11 games Lawrence was selected as one of the game's three stars: twice as first star, three times as second star and once as third star. Through 45 games, Lawrence has 35 goals and 66 points with 88 penalty minutes and a +26 rating. Prior to this season, Lawrence only had 41 goals in his entire junior career and his 66 points obliterates his previous season high of 53 points set in 67 games last season.
